The aim of life remains truth and beauty fused.

The aims of modern science are hardly pure or clear. No religion can redeem science from its basic fallibility. No religion can save science from subjection to financial domination. In pure form, science is simply a parsing of observable reality. Science adopts a logic based on hypothesis. Hypotheses range from the flawed to the sublime. The way to truth is filled with thorns and snares. We are fallible. We live within continuity. We stray and we move on. We need a spirituality based on universal values whose effect is to reduce harm. We need a science immune from subjection to lesser values. We need tolerance, helpfulness, democracy and a rejection of idolatry in all forms. Both science and religion are subject to the regulation of imperishable universal values. The aim of life remains truth and beauty fused.
