Ellen Has Great Values

I was utterly impressed by Ellen's articulation of the values by which she lives. We all live by our values. They are synonymous with our actions. If we understood this better we would have better values all around. The final sentences of this video tell the tale.

We Are Our Values

"The "fruits" by which we are known rise from our values
Forgiveness is such a fruit
It is the product of tolerance and helpfulness
Of democracy and non-idolatry
These four are the fundamental values of Abba's Way
And by inference the fundamental values of the teaching
And the example of Jesus
I spell this out because fruits differ from values
Values are the inevitable result of having a will and living from day to day
We are our values"

Mitt Romney and Washington are joined at the hip

Romney Campaign Still Faces Challenges - NYTimes.com: "The contours of the next fight started coming into view, with Mr. Romney portraying Mr. Santorum as an agent of Washington who should be held responsible for the budget deficit from his time in Congress. Mr. Romney sought to lump Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Santorum into the same group who “spent too much, borrowed too much and earmarked too much.”"

Good Grief, Senator Grassley Speaks Truth!

House Republicans Cut an Ethics Bill Provision - NYTimes.com: "Senator Charles E. Grassley, Republican of Iowa, who wrote the provision on political intelligence, said: “It’s astonishing and extremely disappointing that the House would fulfill Wall Street’s wishes by killing this provision. If Congress delays action, the political intelligence industry will stay in the shadows, just the way Wall Street likes it.”"

And Eric Cantor is transparently a blathering hypocrite whose place in history will hopefully be as a mendacious Republicans who facilitated the worst defeat ever suffered by that party in a national election.
