The four values of Triadic Philosophy, taken together and understood, can do no harm.

Icon

The four values of Triadic Philosophy,

taken together and understood,

can do no harm.

Indeed to the extent that their
universality is made manifest,
they are a blueprint for
an aesthetically  realized world.
The root triad
Reality, Ethics and Aesthetics
describes the passage of signs (icons)
through the skein of Ethics (indices)
to the plane of human action
which is Aesthetics (symbol).
It is important to stipulate that
while Triadic Philosophy aspires
to describe what is true and beautiful,
the action undertaken
when the triadic process is used
is conscious thought.
Signs crop up in profusion within us
but the use of Reality, Ethics, Aesthetics
requires that we be aware
of the sign (icon) we are considering,
and that we consciously submit it
to the Ethical (indices) and then
to the sphere of actuality or performance,
the Aesthetic or symbolic realm.
It may sound like a bit much,
but with practice it rewards,
because it parses with Reality,
with who we are,
with who we can be.

With this preamble,
the ontological values of
tolerance, democracy, helpfulness
and non-idolatry,
become the initial dam
 in the flow of icon
to emergence as symbol,
that is to say, to our reality.
These terms are a pristine unity
made up of three active values
and their root, non-idolatry,
the crown of all values.
All human thinking takes place
under the beneficent cloud
of mysteries that envelop  us all.

The active values interact.
Tolerance cannot trump democracy.
Democracy requires helpfulness.
Helpfulness modifies tolerance,
and so forth.
Together these values lead to
the best and highest state
we can achieve.
That they are not the center of today's ethics,
and our daily lives,
is not sad. It is a crime.
These ontological values
challenge every soul 24/7
whether perceived or not.
When they are rejected,
they become inoperative
and history suffers.
They are the truth and
the truth cannot be defeated.

Walk on the Seer's way or else do as his enemies have done

The people bowed down to the emperor
The Seer bowed down to no one
Abba was lodged within the Seer's core
He cared but that his will be done

It ends with an

The Four Ontological Values of Abba's Way

"

We live with Abba
That would sound pathological if I did not believe
that Abba is one way to talking about the divine spark in all
Abba is one with ontological values
in all

+

Abba signifies these universal ontological values
Willing these creates porogress
Democracy
meaning universal rights
Tolerance
meaning strength to temper judgment
Helpfulness
meaning putting others ahead of me
Non-idolatry
meaning worshiping nothing on this planet

Triadic Philosophy Ontology Non-Idolatry Community Unity

Ontology exists in the realm of reality
and is the seat of the three active values and their underlying value
The three active values are tolerance democracy and helpfulness
The underlying value is non-idolatry
These are universal values that transcend
creed or religion or any other limiting category
Ontology embraces the stuff of reality
of being
It is the substance of what is
The terms we use to describe what exists
are our feeble means of recognizing in being itself
the signs that point us to ways of being here and now

THE IMAGE TRIAD ABOVE

First
Non-idolatry
(Because of its status as ontological
non-idolary is a first
It is the willed iconoclasm that withdraws
worship from any human idea notion person or object)

Second
Community
(Community is always a challenge
to non-idolatry
representing as it does obligations and ties
and and other barriers
to the exercise of the profound freedom
that is the gift of non-idolatry)

Third
Unity
(Unity is the means by which
the conflict between
non-idolatry and community can be resolved
Unity of  all
Unity within
Unity of purpose
Unity of understanding)

The Lord's (Abba) Prayer Is Universal and Belongs to No Religion It Voices Universal Values

The Lord's Prayer is more radical
than the Declaration of Independence
It invites every person on the planet to make earth heavenly
It empowers the most radical practice that there is
universal forgiveness
It is a fountain from which tolerance democracy and helpfulness spring
It is a source of non-odolatry

If divinity is universal then values are as well - the proof is in the practice

We live in an age that is dawning
When we will see that values are universal
and ontological
and provable in practice
Tolerance can be willed and practiced
Helpfulness can be willed and practiced
Democracy can be willed and practiced
Non-idolatry can be embraced as the foundation value
Virtues and characteristics
are not values
because they lack universality
and presence in all people
The values named above
define what it is to be human
and are demonstrated in practice
more or less
daily

Union sundown union holocaust binary bumps up against pragmaticism tough love tenure for all people

So stretch your mind perceive reality
and tell us what will be is what will be
In our post union sad society
with all its rancid growing poverty
What's that I hear the end of binary
O yes there is the top to brush away
The Kochs and  all their kind who would hold sway
polluting every corner of all lands
while double speaking words of liberty
They are the princes of the binary
the we they kings us them one two
They smile as their philanthropy comes through
What's that I hear their world is ending too
On every side the welling multitudes
ill-tuned to yes and no as it descends
in tribal utterance and mindless screeds
ignoring everything this lost world needs
On every side with time about to bend
beyond the the arc of our past histories
evolving toward the triumph of the threes
When binary serves all like air and drink
it loses its capacity to sink
our world into its worst excrescences
and we can walk into triadic time
where reason is not spurned
and facts can change
according to experiment
not faith
and wonder is reborn
in tolerance
and history becomes
democracy
and progress can survive
as helpfulness
and freedom lives
as non-idolatry

Mildred Purse Says Most Multi-Millionaires Are Pathological

Pathological means off your rocker. Your rocker is that tiny thread that connects you to reality. Reality is what leads to you embracing the values of tolerance, helpfulness, democracy and non-idolatry. It is nearly impossible for multi-millionaires to do more than lip-service to these simple ontological values. When they do they are numbered among the saved and treated like ordinary people. Most choose intolerance, unhelpfulness, idolatries of all sorts and are woefully undemocratic. Observing this pathology, Jesus propounded his eye of a needle rap. Religion was invented to give an out to pathological  multi-millionaires.

What is non-idolatry?

What is non-idolatry
It's seeing a universal penumbra that is vague
It is knowing there's a distance you can never breech
It's knowing every perspective you have is different
From every other perspective others have
And accepting the ambient mystery that
Renders ambient all certainty
It is accepting the I am I of the One you say is All in All
As the universal self identity of the One
Who is in everyone

It is having no other core value
Than non-idolatry
It is making free and happy ignorance
The basis for all you are and do
It is hanging loose to reality

Iconoclasm is the air we breathe
It sustains us
It fuels our no
To all but the I Am

Freedom, Chance and Fate

Is there any freedom which is not subjective
Very little
I know I'm free is a stretch
What bites you is also free
Following a destiny
Affecting you in ways you never sought
Non-idolatry is humility and watchfulness
Before the mystery
In amor fati may be perfect freedom
For then
Freedom chance and fate are one
Use your mind
Think
Choose the values you live by
Starting with non-idolatry

The last man standing was Consul Newtonius Gingrichius

Sometime before the birth of Christ
A secret group in Rome appointed a super-secret Brotherhood of The Drone
To locate and assassinate the enemies of the empire
They did not publicize these successful efforts
And for centuries there were effective kills
Droning on
But as the empire began to totter following the birth of Christ
The Brotherhood of the Drone stepped up its activities
And could not avoid being outed
The pundits of the time were vociferous in support of the Empire
It was the last best hope of the world, said they
Finally of course barbarians overran the empire
The last man standing was Consul Newtonius Gingrichius
Surveying the wreckage he had nothing but praise for
The policy of assassination with impunity

There is no longer any academic leadership

"There is no longer any academic leadership. There is leadership, but it is business leadership and there is a difference. In fact, many might argue that business leadership is what will save academe, but the reality is that academic leadership could have if there had been any. Also, the academy as we now know it, or knew it, will hardly survive the rescue.

How universities became subservient to corporate influence

"Academic capitalism is defined as “institutional and professorial market or market-like efforts to secure externalmoneys” (Slaughter and Leslie, 1997, p. 8). In the 1980s and1990s academic capitalism flourished as government supportfor education declined, corporate interest in new productsand processes coincided with the university’s search for increased funding, and as the government sought to enhancenational competitiveness by linking postsecondary educationto business innovation. Many within higher education did not recognize the ways in which higher education fundinghad been impacted by world events and believed the situa-34tion to be temporary. However, States saw an absolute decline in funding for postsecondary education for the firsttime in 1993–94 and there has been a steady decline in revenues as a share of collected tax since 1988. As unrestricted resources became scarce, universities began to compete with each other for partnerships with business and industry andfor tuition dollars. Public higher education institutions became dependent on sources beyond the government and that process is already changing the roles, rewards, and structures" - Susan M. Awbrey SOURCE (PDF)

Orwell's continuing relevance

The 2005 Hayek Lecture | The Road to Serfdom Revisited:

"Orwell thought that the advent of television would make it comparatively easy for a self-perpetuating elite to manipulate, condition, and monitor the masses without much explicit use of terror. "Every citizen, or at least every citizen important enough to be worth watching, could be kept for twenty-four hours a day under the eyes of the police and in the sound of official propaganda.... The possibility of enforcing ... complete uniformity of opinion on all subjects now existed for the first time." Orwell was always alert to the connection between totalitarian habits of thought and the corruption of language, and he coined the expression "doublespeak" to denote the manipulation of truth by words. He envisaged a Ministry of Truth turning out pornography to distract and debase the "proles.""

Corruption of Science

+

"Peirce himself was often vociferous about the immense gap between the ideal of genuine science and the professional (profitable) practice which he called “Art”, which in our current vernacular is called “technology” and usually conflated with “science” (as in your own term “sci-tech”). The ascendancy (and destructiveness) of corporate “science” has vastly escalated in our time, but i don't see how Peirce can be blamed for that – or for using the term “science” to denote the ideal (self-correcting) form of inquiry, especially when he pointed out so clearly that this ideal was rarely actualized even in his own time, and that its place in society was commonly usurped by a corrupted practice for which he expressed a profound contempt. (Especially in the Cambridge lectures of 1898, but elsewhere too.)"  Cap tip Gary F.

Maybe we should call it science got mad. Or steps on the way to the monetization of everything.

Peirce sought to put the pretensions of humanity in their place

"Peirce sought to put the pretensions of humanity in their place when he stated in 1905: 'But the heurospudists [scientists who endeavor to discover] look upon discovery as making acquaintance with God and as the very purpose for which the human race was created. Indeed as the very purpose of God in creating the world at all. They think it a matter of no consequence whether the human race subsists and enjoys or whether it be exterminated, as [in] time it very happily will be, as soon as it has subserved its purpose of developing a new type of mind that can love and worship God better….Remember that the human race is but an ephemeral thing. In a little while it will be altogether done with and cast aside. Even now it is merely dominant on one small planet of one insignificant star, while all that our sight embraces on a starry night is to the universe far less than a single cell of brains is to the whole man.' (Peirce, 1905, ms 1334). - Eugene Halton

Scientific materialism is the Frankenstein of nominalism

"The broader development of scientific materialism, which animates the sciences today, is the Frankenstein of nominalism, which would destroy anything in the interests of  'pure' research. If science is inadequate for the practice of life, as Peirce saw it, because it is too thin, then aren’t scientists, qua scientists, inadequately developed humans? Perhaps subhuman would be a more accurate term. They can be characterized as subhuman not because of extrinsic reputational or authority incursions into science proper, but because science proper, as is commonly practiced now, is conceived as a schizoid machine." - Eugene Halton

Big Science in the USA

"Big Science in the USA emerged from The Manhattan Project sucking up to military-corporate money power, utilizing it to make precise discoveries at any cost. The big sciences today function in many ways as the research arm of global capitalism. Is that just a “blip”? How about altering genetic codes for profitable pure research? Don’t block the road of inquiry? Whoops, humans and numerous other species eradicated. A mere short-term fact without consequence in the long run of science?" - Eugene Halton
