Two grousing guys with no news peg other than their resentment because the President has better things to do than listen to things he already knows. Neither man has had an original idea forever. But both have been adept at making believe that the burdens of the world are best understood by watching them and reading their books. They have not learned the best strategy for non-players. Reticence. I cannot imagine any more noxious activity than riding on their bus and listening to their complaints. It is all part of the wonder of Obama that he can unearth the worst wherever it happens to be.

How Cornel West can be right and wrong at the same time

Every substantive criticism regarding what the President has been unable to achieve can have merit, and Cornel West can still be very wrong in his so-called flunking of the President. Not merely because he has a Cain problem of resentment and jealousy. To ease Cornel's mind I am an upper middle class white guy who thinks I am very inelligent and who worked as hard as you did for Obama. He has never contacted me either. Don't flatter yourself. But that is not why you are wrong. Your error is an intellectual one that you share with almost every progressive critic of Barack Obama. In the simplest terms, you fail to understand the man. He is a Peircean who has mastered thinking in threes. If that is Greek to you, then I understand your problem.
