Economy is living with the least amount of unnecessary expense

Economy is living with the least amount of unnecessary expense.

Cars, sprawl housing and oil represent an increasingly unbearable expense.

Living car-free would enable creation of cyber-communities of up to 10,000 living within walking distance in neighborhoods zoned for all purposes.

A move in this direction could create a voluntary end to social stratification.

It could enable the spawning of new bottom-up economies.

The negative results of life stem from the willed value of envy

The negative results of life stem from the willed value Of envy whose fruits are revenge violence and self-loathing It is helpful to have a grip on the primacy of values And on the fruits by which they are known

The values that headline ShortFormContent  are the ontological values  imbedded in every consciousness  trumping characteristics that inhibit the will  History is the sum of wills constantly acting

Spread a little love

Can you spread the Love Outdoor Play message this Valentine’s Day? « Love Outdoor Play: "We Love Outdoor Play and we know you do too! This is a growing movement encouraging everyone to get involved in whatever way they can to make sure more children can play out more often.

And because you love outdoor play, do you think you could spread that love on Valentine’s day?

How about sending a Valentine’s card to your local MP or Councillor?"

Love and death in one paragraph

The Complete History of Adam Panflick: A Short-lived Beauty from Lakewood, Ohio 1904:

"Calista gave Martin goosebumps. He was soon neglecting his work and making Stanley wonder how wise he had been in allowing his untutured brother to rise so swiftly in the New World. Since Stanley had no desire to see Panflick’s self-destruct, he paid a call on Calista’s father. The result was the swift and happy marriage of Martin and Calista and the installation of the elder Andersons, and their remaining offspring , in a newly-built lakeside home of substantial size in the community east of Cleveland now known as Bratenahl."

There should be six billion conversations based on the teaching of Jesus

Beyond Creed: Prayer should be a conversation with Abba:

"Prayer is the private conversation to which all are summoned
Prayer is part of our ongoing conversation with Abba
The structure of prayer is nothing more than what Jesus said
When you pray address Abba
Hallow Abba's name
Pray that earth be more heaven-like
Pray to be fed today
Seek forgiveness for all and in return
Forgive all friends and enemies
Seek deliverance from temptation and evil
Acknowledge that it is Abba who can heal and mend us
And to whom any glory we have to give is rendered
The function of embroidery in religion is obfuscation
Public prayer should end
There should be six billion conversations based on the teaching of Jesus"

Differing minds will ultimately agree

Peircelets: Charles Sanders Peirce on how scientists come to agree:
"Different minds may set out with the most antagonistic views, but the progress of investigation carries them by a force outside themselves to one and the same conclusion."

More than any philosopher, Peirce understood the reality of many minds working in the same direction guided by forces outside themselves. It is almost the case that with Peirce the notion of originality as an individual claim went out the window.

A microcosm of the world to come?

Some say that God is dead some say severe

Winning The War Within Collected Sonnets: Thirty Who art are words King James’ translators wrote:

"Some say that God is dead some say severe
Some do not care some speak His name in vain
Some claim His favor bad intent to clear
Then spread their evil death mayhem and pain
Jesus told us to pray a simple prayer
Addressed to one close by and always there"

Voter Suppression on Steroids in South Carolina

http://ping.fm/YirAF
Under the Radar: South Carolina Rushes Through Yet another Voter Suppression Bill » Blog of Rights: Official Blog of the American Civil Liberties Union: "This time, the legislature is rushing through a law that will severely restrict community-based voter registration drives. House Bill 4549, modeled after a Florida law that forced the League of Women Voters and other civic organizations to abandon voter registration efforts in the state, would effectively shut down community-based voter registration drives in South Carolina, requiring any individual or organization to register with the state before assisting other South Carolinians in registering to vote, and subjecting those individuals or organizations to up to $1,000 in fines, even for honest mistakes like sending the forms to the wrong county or not putting enough postage on the envelopes."

And then no further secrets would obtain

The Tao in Mark:

"The seer knew that many lacked in depth
The seer knew that many were burnt out
And lacked the roots to hear or see
And but a few would truly understand
But these would share the truth with all
And more and more would come to see things plain
And all might know forgiveness finally
And then no further secrets would obtain"

Adam lost himself in thoughts of coming hours and days

Manhattan Bully Wars (1947): "Leaving Gay Blades, Adam walked east across 52nd Street. He stole a brief glance at his reflection in a shop window. He gave little thought to his appearance. He was accustomed to the somber face he presented to the world. But sometimes he checked just the same and this evening he found himself saying hello.

Adam took the Lexington Avenue subway up to 86th Street. He did not assume his usual place at the window in the front of first car on the train, looking intently at the upcoming tracks. Instead, he took a bamboo-backed seat in a middle car and lost himself in thoughts of coming hours and days."
