"Candy Man daid. Doornail. Stabbed by wife's Spear Man. Just desserts for Trophy Behavior. Enjoy but don't advertise. Tacky spouse. What is monarchy coming to?"

Current Zoning Is Inimical To The Future

Beyond Pattern Language: I have been waiting for some hot venture capitalist sorts to really gamble.:

"Premise: Existing zoning in the US of A is inimical to economic development. Write that down"

Abba is near to help fulfill your life

Abba's Way: 60 On The Good News:

"Abba is near to help fulfill your life,
And harmonize your life with others too
We live on an abundant planet home,
Which we have plundered, raped and torn in two.
The good news is that Abba is with us,
And Abba’s power in us redeems the world."

The moment Ron Paul lost whatever gravitas he had

Audience at tea party debate cheers leaving uninsured to die | The Ticket - Yahoo! News: ""Are you saying that society should just let him die?" Blitzer pressed Paul. And that's when the audience got involved. Several loud cheers of "yeah!" followed by laughter could be heard in the Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds in response to Blitzer's question."

Lots of libertarian contributions down the drain.

Alec Baldwin Good Going Hold Your Ground

Alec Baldwin boycotts Emmys after Rupert Murdoch owned station bans phone hacking skit | Mail Online: "Alec Baldwin announced he was not attending the Emmys on Twitter because he had a joke about newspaper phone-hacking cut.

The actor was furious when a skit about the News Of The World scandal was banned by bosses at Fox, which is broadcasting the event."

I regard Alec first as a fellow New Yorker. We do not cotton to the likes of Roger Ailes of FOX, a force of profound malevolence, all the more bothersome because seemingly unaware of its humongous hubris.

Can Netflix Bounce Back

Netflix CEO: I messed up - CBS News: "The DVD-by-mail service will now be called Qwikster. The company said that its streaming service will continue to be offered under the Netflix brand. While customers can still subscribe to both, the sites will no longer be integrated. The websites will have separate billing and ratings systems. Hastings elaborated on the changes in the accompanying YouTube video."

My experience was that they did not have enough good stuff on the streaming side. I have not had the time or inclination to pursue it. The mail thing seems to me cumbersome to the mildly disorderly person aka moi.

Austerity Will Kill Our Future

Economic Bleeding Cure - NYTimes.com: "What should be happening? The answer is that we need a major push to get the economy moving, not at some future date, but right now. For the time being we need more, not less, government spending, supported by aggressively expansionary policies from the Federal Reserve and its counterparts abroad. And it’s not just pointy-headed economists saying this; business leaders like Google’s Eric Schmidt are saying the same thing, and the bond market, by buying U.S. debt at such low interest rates, is in effect pleading for a more expansionary policy."

Posterior backwards as usual.
