Final Draft of Panflick History Commences

The Complete History of Adam Panflick: Someone chanced to softly say while passing by, “Good exegesis”:

"The library in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, is quite attractive to the ordinary tourist who might enter its lofty doors to seek out some sage novel by David Helpern or Louis de Berniers. But I was not going there in search of a read. Or for the experience of a tourist. I was there for the Panflick archives, if they may be called that.

Adam Panflick had dumped several cartons of his writings and other things in a dank basement there back in 1980, the year he left Ganya Mede for good. These were woefully incomplete. Adam had already destroyed huge amounts of written material prior to the final dump."

I have begun to create what one hopes will be a final draft of The Complete History of Adam Panflick. There being already eight books of some ten to fourteen chapters each, I am not holding my breath.

The Alito Difference

Larry McCarthy, Mitt Romney, and Restore Our Future Super PAC : The New Yorker: "When Samuel Alito replaced Sandra Day O’Connor on the Supreme Court, in 2006, the balance started shifting in favor of deregulating political spending. The next year, the Court sanctioned unlimited, secret spending on “issues” ads, as long as they didn’t directly endorse or oppose a candidate, and as long as the primary purpose of the group making them was “educational” rather than political. Once the Court opened a path for unlimited anonymous money, it flooded in."

NYC closes senior centers for this?

NYC is littered with street sweepers
The video below approximates these loud and ineffective devices
They roll around midtown Manhattan in two's and threes
Early morning
Accomplishing nothing
Followed by an official in a car
I suggest these expensive dinosaurs be transported to Afghanistan where they might just
Intimidate the Taliban into submission

Larry McCarthy, Mitt Romney and Public Revulsion

Larry McCarthy, Mitt Romney, and Restore Our Future Super PAC : The New Yorker:

Larry McCarthy all on one page
If Mitt ever told the truth
Larry as his PACman
Cures him of that

This long term attack dog
Tells lies that stick
To sink Dukakis or Newt
Take your pick

Let us celebrate
Whenever
The work of these brethren
Yields up public revulsion

Voter Suppression on Steroids in South Carolina

Under the Radar: South Carolina Rushes Through Yet another Voter Suppression Bill » Blog of Rights: Official Blog of the American Civil Liberties Union: "This time, the legislature is rushing through a law that will severely restrict community-based voter registration drives. House Bill 4549, modeled after a Florida law that forced the League of Women Voters and other civic organizations to abandon voter registration efforts in the state, would effectively shut down community-based voter registration drives in South Carolina, requiring any individual or organization to register with the state before assisting other South Carolinians in registering to vote, and subjecting those individuals or organizations to up to $1,000 in fines, even for honest mistakes like sending the forms to the wrong county or not putting enough postage on the envelopes."
