Why do I find macro design so retro
I'm justified by Jobs who saw the plain truth
The future must look different on the outside
The sprawl that we have now is very uncouth

Gladwell on Jobs The A Ha Paragraph

Steve Jobs’s Real Genius : The New Yorker: "Gates looked back at Jobs calmly. Everyone knew where the windows and the icons came from. “Well, Steve,” Gates responded. “I think there’s more than one way of looking at it. I think it’s more like we both had this rich neighbor named Xerox and I broke into his house to steal the TV set and found out that you had already stolen it.”"

And pray sweet mercy for us all

Adulthood brings the weight of sin
We know more than we say
We judge ourselves to kingdom come
The actual kicks in
The weight too great to bear

There was once a culture of penitence
Self-condemnation rife as Puritans
But that was then
Now we judge ourselves
As stern as they
But forget to forgive

I think Jesus spoke of children as he did
 Knowing how hope atrophies
With years and years of deeds that shame us all
Our wars our hurts
Our slights our condemnations
Our violence of thought and act
Percolating long after

This weight of sin is real
So too the daily gift
Forgiveness
If we see

There is light within us
We can pray mercy for us all
We can extend the same to all
And in a trice be reconciled

Would that we treated humans like our pets

Would that we treated humans like our pets
The ones who are more loved than most of us
Think of the love a little gerbil gets
As Congress throws workers under the bus

'Ann Coulter Must Live in a Penumbra of Bilious Self Hatred

'Our' Blacks Vs. 'Their' Blacks | National Memo | Breaking News, Smart Politics: "Do you think it gives Clarence Thomas a warm, fuzzy feeling to know he is one of Ann Coulter's blacks?

That is how Coulter put it on Fox "News" while defending Herman Cain against sexual harassment charges that threatened to engulf his campaign last week. "Liberals," she said, detest black conservatives, but the truth is, "our blacks are so much better than their blacks.""

Or something.

The entire world should change its behavior

Iran on brink of nuclear capability, report says - CBS News: "The U.N. nuclear watchdog is due to release a report this week laying out its findings on Iran's efforts to obtain sensitive nuclear technology. Fears that Iran could quickly build an atomic bomb, if it chooses to, have fueled anti-Iran rhetoric and new threats of military strikes. Some U.S. arms-control groups have cautioned against what they fear could be an overreaction to the report, saying there is still time to persuade Iran to change its behavior."

We assume that things are fixed when they are not
Replay pasts that merely repeat retro plots
Is there one soul who can think of something new
Before we mindlessly go up the flue
