Don't hold your breath

Groups Call on Supercommittee to Cut Energy Subsidies | Common Dreams: "A major environmental group has teamed up with a conservative think tank and others to urge the congressional supercommittee to slash oil, coal, ethanol and nuclear subsidies — a move the groups say would save $380 billion over the next five years."

Everything now depends on 2012. The GOP is doing a good job of ruining its chances in the Presidential and maybe we can convince people to give Democrats a chance to actually have the courage to rule. Otherwise we are in the same mess into the forseeable future.
