Philanthropy should invest in creating democracies

Most everything else is an invitation to non-profit lassitude and foundation busy work. Democracies put the onus for solving problems on all the people. Nothing makes for progress more simply and effectively. Philanthropies create problems by suggesting that they can somehow overcome conditions created by despotic governments. This leads in my view to benign genocide pure and simple. When I was at Unicef I thought as much looking at the same stats year in and year out.
