It is funny how everyone on all sides uses the Kumbaya word to express cynicism about the propects for better outcomes in this world. In point of fact a positive view based on universal values and nonviolent opposition to principalities and powers is the precise stance that any valid spiritual way mandates. When I hear from the lips of allegedly intelligent commentators such bilious disses, I lower my respect level a notch and determined to speak more insistently the antiphon to this negativity.
