Global democratic revolution is the answer to terrorism

Fighting terrorism on two fronts: "The principal threat to the Western way of life no long comes just from terror bases in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Somalia and elsewhere overseas. It comes just as much from sources within our borders, from native-born Westerners who have been brainwashed into believing that Western civilization and values are a threat to their faith or ideology, who have been convinced that democratic freedoms are anathema to their beliefs and world view."

Global democratic revolution defends not Western but universal values and these are needed as much in the West as in the lairs of terrorists wherever they may be. These universal values are first non-idolatry which is humility in the face of what no one can know or claim to know, then tolerence as strength, helpfulness as enabling others and community and democracy as the insistence on universal rights. These are what defeats terrorism wherever its ideology of division and violence takes root. Those who follow the ideology if terror are out of touch with their ontological roots. It is they and not we who are naive and deluded. They are in fact playing exactly the same game as those who are opposed by the democratic revolution are playing.
