The global democratic revolution must somehow roll back those things that exude the foul air of impunity. Like secret assassination panels in the very shadow of the White House. Now! This was going to be the era of openness and transparency. Not with Bradley Manning mouldering in prison. Not with feds threatening medical marijuana in California. Clearly these things can be changed only if the people will it at the polls. And also will the strict rule of law, using an open judicial system instead of totalitarian methods where individuals can flaunt ill-gotten power with impunity. That is the stuff of cultural disaster.
