There is only one surefire way for Obama to win

Will Romney win the nomination? Probably. Will a third party emerge on his right? Not impossible. In which case he definitely would lose to Obama

Assuming a two person race, is the Obama message a winning one? Not yet. Read on.

If Obama is perceived as a level-headed leader who can keep America safe while continuing to bring us back from the Bush Cliff and make domestic progress, he wins. But only with a winning message.

If the GOP attack proves effective and people actually believe the GOP line and if Romney pulls off the near-miracle of not making a gaffe a day, then the GOP has a chance. In which case it is essential that Obama has the right message.

Here it is:  Everything the GOP does is RISK.  Never diverge from this simple message. Strain everything through the four letters R I S K. Include it four times every 30 seconds.

My future posts will follow this rule. After all, would you want to see the nation strapped to the top of a car in a windowless container? Don't trade a security already under threat for a guaranteed RISK.
