NYT sells half its Red Sox stock as Yanks march on
Times Co. Sells Part of Red Sox Stake - NYTimes.com: "The New York Times Company said on Friday that it had sold more than half of its minority ownership in the Boston Red Sox and several other sports properties" A while back the NYT gutted the Boston Globe and now they are vacating some of their Red Sox stock. The NYT is first a business and secondarily a careful adjudicator of what is fit to print and what to think about it. It thinks tough and upward mobile and therefore ends up missing on things like the Iraq invasion.
