It may jostle all of our New Yorkers before it's through. Right now the path looks aimed at the Hamptons where the wealthy keep their jewels as it were. One day we will design and build differently and we will have security from much of the worst the weather can throw at us. But just now we have a sprawl world awash in cars and endless highways built on the monopoly called car and oil. It is not an outright monopoly. It's just everyone's default and even the smartest have failed to think beyond it.
