Florida wasn't a drubbing Ross

Gingrich 2012? Going, Going, Gone - NYTimes.com: "Tuesday night’s Floridian drubbing won’t change those incentives, so we can expect a last burst of media chatter about how Gingrich could still recover, ride a wilderness campaign to a Super Tuesday comeback and fight Romney tooth and nail all the way to the convention. But chatter is all it will be. For Gingrich and his media enablers alike, the dream died in Florida – and here are four reasons why."

The Romney folk (Scared Conservatives United) are so busy writing the Gingrich effort off and discounting those who favor it that they do not notice themselves protesting too much. The NYT led the charge by echoing MSNBC's verdict that Romney won big in Florida. He didn't.

He won small. He lost his soul on the way. He also lost North Florida which is the Southland writ small. The Gingrich effort has a slim chance of actually articulating a conservative viewpoint that apparently escapes the intellect of Douthat and becomes muddy in the hands of a Ron Paul. That viewpoint is that of the late Robert Nisbet who lamented the overtaking of community by society. It's not worth getting into, I suppose. We are swept along by the msm narrative while truth takes a beating.

Ross approves of Florida as a toughening up exercise for Romney. So much for Ross.
