We are a stretched-out Empire
Vulnerable to the leverage of anger
If Ron Paul wouldn't whine so much he'd have more audience
If Barack took some time to test he might discover ambience
In revving up remote and bringing everything else home
There's nothing we can't do from here
Let's get our act together
Test the waters
Listen to the wind a bit
We cannot make democracy with planted NGOs calling our shots
That's retro yesterday do not believe in yesterday
Just now we curry the resentment of adolescents
Who may know we're right
But like resentful teens are tired of being told
And wanting to be on their own
Meanwhile before we totter off the cliff
Let us
Rejuvenate
and recreate
Contemplate
and cogitate
