Why does no one care about our density?

Why does no one care about our density
The answer is the car and our mobility
Wherewith we built a sprawl society
A dinosaur with no sustainability

For the record we have less than 100 per square mile 
We could hum with communities of 5-10,000 in a square mile and the rest verdant countryside
