The GOP in the USA will bear ultimate responsibility for a global meltdown if it occurs. The posture of Democrats should be active resistance and unwillingness to let the GOP off the hook by accepting their draconian conditions as a status quo. In other words give them no quarter unless they will sit down and agree to a long-term solution that is based on a fair tax system. Tax the rich is out.
