Why I Favor Newt Above Paul, Santorum & Romney
WAS: The Four GOP Defectives in Order of Their Evil Potential
Rick Santorum makes McCain look like a moral paragon - scariest
Ron Paul has a Dickensian agenda that bears no connection with reality - implosive
Mitt Romney has descended from being a merely exploitative corporate raider to bing a person willing to become a right wing puppet - unworthy, W-like
Newt Gingrich rivals most American males in conventional sinful behavior but his record nevertheless manifests a capacity to understand that negotiation lies at the center of effective governance - Newt's the best of a questionable lot

Is Our Economy Healing? - NYTimes.com: "And if this year’s election brings the wrong ideology to power, America’s nascent recovery might well be snuffed out."

After we have our nascent recovery
We'll reflect that we indulged the luxury
Of stretching our vaunted grandiosity
Almost the breaking point

Gingrich and Romney Trade Jabs as G.O.P. Race Rolls On - NYTimes.com: "Their immediate battleground is Florida, which will hold its primary in eight days. But their intensifying duel was also shaping up as a proxy battle in the fight between the Republican Party’s establishment wing — in favor of Mr. Romney — and a grass-roots insurgency that, for now at least, seems to be coalescing around Mr. Gingrich as a no-holds-barred opponent to President Obama in the fall."

Is this the year of the grass roots
Slogging along in well-scuffed boots
Confounding the establishment
Wondering where their power went
Or is it that the media died
Or ended up transmogrified
Since we have our own megaphone
And we feel a bit less alone
We say perfection’s unattainable
We say perfection’s unattainable,
I say negotiation can succeed;
Perhaps I am the one who’s cynical!
I merely underline this sad deep need.
For Abba’s way is simple helpfulness,
Devoid of all religious cant and show;
Unassuming and infused with happiness,
A cynic can be generous, you know!

Yesterday I was trying to figure out when the Giants game was. Every query I wrote was unsuccessful. Not true. About the tenth query finally got me to a site that had the information I was seeking. Google should provide answers to such obvious questions in some simple form. I despair of writers and content providers doing the old who what where when why and how thing.

Twitter acquisition confirms that curation is the future — Tech News and Analysis: "Twitter made an interesting acquisition on Thursday, when it bought a young Canadian startup called Summify, a company whose service (as its name implies) was designed to cut through the noise of all those social-media streams and summarize the content that matters. More than anything, this is perhaps the single biggest hole that exists not just in Twitter but Facebook and other services as well: the need to give users more ways of filtering the massive amounts of information that keep flooding their activity streams and other social-media inboxes. There are so many ways of producing and sharing content but so few good ways of filtering."

Golly, I never thought of myself as a curator. But then again I never got bought.
