Reince Priebus Should Be Fired - Mildred Purse

Reince Priebus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Reince Priebus"

I say fire his posterior. I am a rock ribbed Republican and I am not used to the sort of idiocy this man has come forth with. Out with him. Send him back to Wisconsin where he might run again for statewide office and be defeated or otherwise do what he was doing before he attained a national platform for his bile.

Nate Silver is wrong on Florida. Romney by 15?

Election Forecasts - FiveThirtyEight Blog - NYTimes.com: "The macroscopic solution, of course, is to take an average of the polls, as the FiveThirtyEight forecast does. That forecast now projects a 15-point win for Mr. Romney:"

I think the primary is still in play. I think Romney has soft support. Porous in fact. Newt will get dedicated sup0port fortified by Palin's urging that the contest remain open. The more time Newt has the less more rope to suspend his opponent with. Outguessing Nate is fun, I admit, but it has the same general thrust in this content as it did during the Obama-Clinton contests. Chris Matthews is making my case as I speak. It is Romney who is playing dirty. What Chris does not believe is that Romney can be beaten. That's a belief I do not share.

RNC's Priebus reaches nadir of bad taste
His capacity for analogy makes him a definite Keith worst
He compares the President to the Captain of a doomed cruise ship
I would submit Mr. Priebus to a panel of doctors
For possible resuscitation as a human being

About the Civil Rights Movement Veterans Website

Civil Rights Movement Veterans Website: "Today, from what you see in the mass media and read in textbooks and websites, you would think that the Freedom Movement only existed in a few states of the deep South, — but that is not so. The Freedom Movement lived and fought in every state and every city of America, North, South, East, and West. There were some differences between the Southern and Northern wings of the Movement, but those differences were minor compared to the Movement's essence. North or South, it was the same movement everywhere.

This website is devoted to the "Southern Freedom Movement," the Freedom Movement as it existed in the South. Not because the Northern wing of the Movement was unimportant — it was enormously important, — but because the Southern Movement was the part of the Movement that we participated in and know enough about to build this website. Hopefully, some day soon activists from the Northern wing of the Movement will do the same."

The fundamental inhumanity of highways cars and trucks revealed

Cause of deadly Florida crash sought - CBS News: "GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Interstate 75, the site of a deadly multi-vehicle accident Sunday, was reopened Monday morning, as accident investigators try to determine what caused the first crash that set off the fiery chain reaction that killed 10 people. Another 18 were hospitalized."

And it's only going to get worse as people age and use gadgets while driving. Or as in this case possible criminality and visibility issues.

Reason makes its remedial way at a snail's pace

Go Play in the Street! Sure, Says Transit Group, Proposing ‘Play Streets’ | The New York Observer: "Last summer, 15 streets participated in the program, and Transportation Alternatives has written to the Mayor asking him to commit to raising this number to 66 by the year 2030. The proposal could actually help the Mayor in his quest to reach the goal of having every New York child live within a ten minute walk of the nearest playground, which has lead him to extend the opening hours of school playgrounds."

How injustice comes to be freely accepted by its victims

Tragic truth about caste - WWW.THEDAILY.COM: "I frequently get asked in America why India’s caste system, a pre-feudalistic division of labor that assigns one’s line of work at birth, has persisted into the 21st century. I typically answer: the need of the privileged upper castes for cheap labor. But there is an even more tragic explanation, as I discovered during a recent visit to New Delhi while talking to Maya, the dalit or untouchable — the lowest of the four castes — who has serviced my family for 35 years. Maya herself clings to her caste because it still offers her the best possible life in India.

What’s puzzling about the caste system is that it endures without legal force. Unlike slavery, where whites actively relied on authorities to maintain their slave holdings, the caste system is an informal, self-perpetuating institution.

How? Consider Maya’s story.

Intelligent design is implicit in philosophical realism

Should intelligent design be taught in the classroom? - St. Louis Nonpartisan | Examiner.com: "A bill proposed in the Missouri House of Representatives would require the equal treatment of science instruction regarding biological evolution and intelligent design.

HB 1227, known as the Missouri Standard Science Act, was introduced by State Rep. Rick Brattin, R-Harrisonville, on Jan. 10. If enacted, it would require that textbooks covering any scientific theory of biological origin devote equal treatment to evolution and intelligent design.

Intelligent design holds that certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection."

'via Blog this'

Theories are suppositions. Intelligent design is worthy of a sentence in a textbook. The idea of equal treatment demeans the matter. If philosophical realism was taught, intelligent design would be implicit as a reasonable guess or abduction regarding reality. That nominalism holds sway is one of the major barriers to the global revolution now in progress.

Best Comment on Allen West's Pathetic Diatribe

Allen West To Liberals: Get the Hell Out Of The U.S. - Digg: "Requesting that all those that oppose your view leave the country disregards the importance of political discourse and is the most un-American thing I've ever heard. This is not how the majority of Americans go about their day-to-day business, simply saying, "Get the hell out!" to anyone who disagrees with them; the rest of us have to act like adults and try to work with people."

New HUD Rule Delivers for LGBT Americans » Blog of Rights: Official Blog of the American Civil Liberties Union: "Last year, we told you about a proposed rule from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regarding equal access to HUD housing programs regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Among the key requirements of the rule is a prohibition on inquires regarding sexual orientation or gender identity, as well as a prohibition on using sexual orientation or gender identity as grounds for decision-making in Federal Housing Administration (FHA) programs. Additionally, the rule brings the definition of “eligible families” into the 21st century by including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT). "
