Jesus was dead set against hoarding

Jesus was dead set against hoarding
He was for the circulation of everything  And the sharing of everything He even said that doing that is the key to decency and prosperity  Even getting into heaven.
The answer is do not hoard circulate do not grouse be happy Do not consume sustain do not be anxious Tomorrow will come  Forgive and be forgiven every day

Most bipartisan thing in recent years was the sorry repeal of Glass-Steagall

For the record the most bipartisan thing in recent years was  the sorry repeal of Glass-Steagall on Bill Clinton's watch Turning banks into casinos and bankers into masters of avarice The entire structure of my home town NYC changed And you can still smell it If Barack has a second term and Elizabeth Warren wins in Massachusets I will favor her to succeed him in 2016

The way of Abba is place children first

The way of Abba is Place children first The realm of Abba is for children made We're judged when children know hunger and thirst We're judged when we let Abba's passion fade

The wanderer will find a sacrament

Abba's Way: 68 On Wandering:
The wanderer will find a sacrament in any sighting, hearing or parade. The wanderer will not divide the truth, romantically conceiving unscaled heights, Excoriating lows, bowing to highs,.one billion perspectives, one billion truths, Sitting like bricks upon the passive mind; it takes some wandering to make them live. Wherein lies greatness, in your life, in mine?  Once set your anchor there and you are lost.  Wander. Create. Make choices. Keep on going. Your passing thanks the only clue you need. Come joy! Come vision! Not some frozen past. Come peace! Come light! Let all things be made new. Thus let us learn to see and freely be, and thus become a world of wandering.

Charles Sanders Peirce - Thinking in Threes

Our minds can wander farther than our feet.

Our minds can wander farther than our feet. To read the lives of those whose lives are o’er Is to set feet upon another shore. Sometimes the parallels are very clear, And other times we’re drawn to stretch our sight. We see the ebb and fall of lives long past Their loves, their ills, short lives, long lives, now still. We wander through these vaults of memory Amazed at times at what our eyes can see. Long-forgotten words are heard once more. Names once lost in the mist rise up again.

Charles Sanders Peirce - Thinking in Threes

Nomads of the universe wander without moving and see in the dark

Some wander, some stay put, I move at will. Sometimes to places anchored in the past. Sometimes to seek out places to be known. I wander but each place I am is home. A wanderer may never move at all.

Descend into the stillness

Abba's Way: 70 The Stillest Hour:

Descend into the stillness where the power
Does not impinge, but rather creates room.
Yes, room to think of steps that you will take.
First one, then two, then one, then two again.
Nothing too fancy, you’re on guidance now.
Your stillest hour is in a ribbon wrapped,
A gift from Abba, please to recall that.

Who is the still, small voice amid the storm?

Abba's Way: 70 The Stillest Hour:
Who is the still, small voice amid the storm? Whence come the softest words that have such power, That mountains move at one whispered command, And centuries of ill turn round at will? The stillest hour is now, let it enfold The agonies, the dead ends and the blocks. Immobile, you are set to move again. Struck dumb by living, you will live some more.

President Should Be Clear As A Bell on Torture

Letter to President Obama urging statement against torture | Human Rights First: "In light of the debate following the death of Osama bin Laden, we urge you to make an unequivocal statement that torture is illegal, immoral, and un-American. The use of torture undermines our national security and intelligence gathering efforts. The United States must lead by our core principles and condemn torture"

The President would lose nothing by finding a way to make this statement. He has in the past made major human rights statements in the context of speeches and other utterances and they are highly significant. One could have understood his attitude to democratic revolution by listening to what he actually said.

To make a statement like the above regarding torture would be useful at a time when there is a good deal of undue elation bearing the McCain bomb Iran stamp running about.

What Is Aggregation and How Does It Serve

Though about half of what is published here is entirely original, the other half could be seen as aggregated. There is now some effort to create standards for aggregation. I assume one of them is to provide not merely a prominent indication of a source, but some indication that if you click on a link you will not suffer loss of any sort. Abiding by these rules seems to me reasonable. Aggregation acknowledges the value of other efforts and presents an occasion for salient addition and responses. It seems cool to do this with style and adherence to standards that are in themselves designed to advance the global conversation.

Santorum's Going More George Bush Every Day

Fortunes Turn, as Does Style, for Santorum - NYTimes.com:

'via Blog this'

The stripes are showing as the article above attests. Santorum won those stripes serving George Bush as a high profile operative in the Senate. He got creamed after two terms because Pennsylvanians were not enamored either with his arcane social views or with his service to the man who caused our country to teeter on the edge of ruination. If Abba is favoring the canny American people with a comedy called The Collapse of  Boehner-McConnell Presidential Zapping, showing up Santorum for exactly what and who he is - a Bush 3 Wannabe who will complete our national meltdown - this story is Scene One.

Goldman Methodology - Sic Transit Whistleblowers

Public Rebuke of Culture at Goldman Opens Debate - NYTimes.com: "Mr. Smith is making a considerable financial sacrifice in publicly criticizing Goldman. Most Wall Street employees sign nondisparagement and nondisclosure agreements before they join a firm. If Mr. Smith did, Goldman may take legal action and refuse to release stock options he has accumulated. Mr. Smith may also find it difficult to find work on Wall Street after such a public resignation."

Polls Yo-Yo and the Canny American People

Obama-mentum - NYTimes.com:

'via Blog this'

Polls have the capacity to yank people this way and that hourly. Mr. Obama's popularity is a case in point. Given the fact that the man is not merely hated by millions and that he is routinely taken to the woodshed by everyone else regardless of their politics, ambient popularity is a given. But the American people are a canny lot. They know that Mr. Obama is a better risk than anything the GOP is now offering. So does the rank and file in the GOP. Which is why we will have a brouhaha in Tampa. No Mitt coronation prior to that. Steady as we go should be the sanity mantra. Regardless of who the GOP puts forward, she or he will be committed to an agenda of doom. We will want to bring one person to vote Democratic for every vile dollar the Koch Brothers invest in doom..
