Google Should Think Triadically

Google invented a driver free car
But not a car free community
Google would do much better than that
By starting to think triadically

I think they both could be eclipsed

INFOGRAPHIC: Google+ Is Catching Up To Facebook And Here's Why:

'via Blog this'

This is a game that is always played and that always ignores the third option, another entry that eclipses the two. Anything that delivers everything people want is the new thing that blows older things out of the water. As soon as there is an entity that can do it better than Facebook or Google it will eclipse both. I think one clue to this is user defined searches - the evident need that underlies Quora - and a means of gathering and ordering all relevant data. I harbor a guess that it might be Amazon that finds the way.

When Chrome crashes with its "cute" Aw Snap

When Chrome crashes with its "cute" Aw Snap
It takes me to a page which essentially blames me for various ills that I should remedy
Am I wrong in suggesting that it is Chrome itself that must bear some responsibility
For being unable to follow my admittedly esoteric directions

My alternative headline: When blamelessness is the default

Google should be leading the world beyond the automobile

Google's Robot Car Crashes - The Daily Beast

Google defends itself because it says a human being was driving its vastly over-hyped robot car
Google should be leading the world beyond the automobile
The problem with Google is that its people are too rich to be aware of just how wrecked our society is
That wealth breeds a sense of omnipotence and arrogance
Of course people are delighted to get jobs there
But in the world Google cannot see
The world the rest of us live in
The view is different
The creation of a robot vehicle helps maintain our car oil fixation
Google should build a car free cyber city with integral ideas
And Google should revolutionize our mentally-impaired zoning
But instead it creates a robot car that wrecks because it requires a human driver
I am amazed at all this
When the best minds as the poet said
It is not even worth a howl
Just a shake of the head

PS this little Google thing is quite delicious

Sheryl Sandberg & Male-Dominated Silicon Valley : The New Yorker: "Later, Sandberg would tell people that Facebook was a company driven by instinct and human relationships. The point, implicitly, was that Google was not. Sandberg seemed to have insulted some of her former colleagues. “She could have handled her departure more crisply,” a senior Google official says."

A Poetic Rant for Google - Associated Content from Yahoo! - associatedcontent.com: "Google you are quite a piece of work /
The feds are out to get you /That's no quirk" Here at Blogger we do not bite the hand that feeds us, but at Associated Content it is a different story.

Why Amazon and Facebook and Google Rule

It's really simple and it reflects a clear decision. Be truly global. Connect to everything. Make things easy to do not harder to do. Be preeminent in the one thing you do. Extend your social capacities everywhere that will let them roost. How many businesses have had wild and wonderful dreams and simply ignored the steps needed to create universal reach. I bought a netbook yesterday locally and when it came time to pay I did it through - oops, not the place I was - but through Amazon. I would say Amazon and Facebook are tied for the lead in reach and creating shortcuts and usability and that Google is sort of there by default but teetering. And when you look at them all they cannot be but partway yet. And there is room for more and better.

Google would do well to conquer sprawl

Google would do well to conquer sprawl
By building a new world that will help all
Car free and walkable and one to one
By making something new beneath the sun
