The Spectrum Nature of Humankind Trumps Original Sin

Original sin was a scapegoat cop out designed to
leech from us all trace of dignity
and make us prey to priestly ministrations
likewise designed to make jelly of us
The spectrum goes from primal to sublime
and leaves us holding the bag for all we do
not discluding our reaction to
the so called acts of god
We have the power to adjust our spots
upon this spectrum
put the positives
at any point to work for us
That we now see a balance between this
and the hoary ways of dampening religion
is just a sign that says we may just
finally come of age

We move along that spectrum, hopefully higher and higher

It has been years since I did psychosynthesis with my friends David and Judy Bach. I remember times when I was helped through carhartic actions like banging pillows to release some emotions. But mainly I remember the reality of quick access to the unconscious, the ease of creating and dealing significantly with sub-personalities and the ultimate sense of self-acceptance that comes from the conviction that one does indeed possess a higher self, that the self is a spectrum, not all good not all bad. We move along that spectrum, hopefully higher and higher.

The Simple Spectrum Minus Wilber Claptrap

I tried to find a video that would remind us of Ken Wilber's seminal "Spectrum of Consciousness". Wilber has since made everything unintelligible. The short form of the original is - we are a spectrum primal to sublime. Understand and accept that. Give up binary existence. Seek Abba within. Stop going to seminars. Live freely with self-acceptance. When seriously halted, seek competent short term help.

Why is the spectrum our way out

Why is the spectrum our way out
We do ourselves in with our twos
Our either or's condemn us to a rout
For every third way we refuse

All because we fail to accept our spectrum nature

Jonathan Franzen on America’s Strangest Novel by Donald Antrim - The Daily Beast: "The genius of the novel is that it maps these contradictory feelings onto the archetypal figure of the scapegoat: the exemplary sufferer who recurs throughout human history, most notably in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, as an object of both love and homicidal rage, and who must be ritually killed in order for the rest of us to go on living with the contradictions in our lesser hearts."
